Diamond Mountain and Asian Classics Institute will be offering a new program in April, to start a new series of teachings with Geshe Michael Roach. We will have five days of dynamic teachings which will feature new content within each of the Five Houses. Highlights will include emptiness study and meditations from the Classics and Samadhi Houses in First Panchen Lama’s The Angel Debates the Devil and a lyrical, autobiographical Staircase and Diamond Houses masterpiece, called The Song of My Spiritual Life, composed by Je Tsongkapa.

Following these five days, we will have four days of deep, quiet retreat, with an option to extend your stay at Diamond Mountain for an even richer, retreat experience.

This event will also launch new programming in the Diamond House: the content of this event will become a requirement to continue on towards mastery within the Diamond House. While this course is open to everyone, subsequent courses featuring the Diamond House will require completion of this course.

 

Come to the Grand Opening and Dedication of Stupa Beyond Sadness (initiated by Malaysia)

We’re excited to announce that during the upcoming Retreat at Diamond Mountain Retreat Center (April 17-27, 2025), we will have a Grand Opening Ceremony for the Stupa Beyond Sadness (initiated by Malaysia).
During the Grand Opening Ceremony, we will put a specially-made statue of  Beyond Sadness in the stupa. This will make the stupa complete. We will reveal the donor wall, honoring individuals who gave more than $5,000 to the stupa project. We will joyously circumambulate our wonderful new stupa. And we will give attendees a piece of the marble from the stupa construction to take home.

Geshe Michael has been invited to lead the ceremony.

Due to the remote nature of Diamond Mountain, we regret that we can’t record or broadcast the Grand Opening. But for those attending in person, we hope you will join us for this significant milestone in Diamond Mountain’s history!

IS THERE WI-FI? WILL I HAVE CELL COVERAGE?

Wi-fi is available for emergency use, and cell coverage is practically non-existent. We strongly encourage that you put all your electronic devices in airplane mode, and plan to take advantage of the opportunity to be completely off-grid!

COTTAGE INFORMATION

Most of our eco-friendly houses retreat include 12-volt solar electricity, composting toilets and passive solar design which allows them to naturally stay cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. Please check out our houses here.

SAMPLE DAILY SCHEDULE

Teaching Days

  • Morning: Practice in your cottage with a provided schedule you can follow and take-out breakfast
  • 11am Shuttle to lower campus
  • 12am Yoga
  • 1pm Lunch
  • 2pm Class with Senior teacher
  • 3pm Classes with Geshe Michael Roach
  • 6:30pm Dinner
  • 7:30 Shuttle to cottages and call it a day

Deep Retreat Days

  • Practice schedule provided which include meditations, recitations, contemplations, study and hike
  • 3 meals will be delivered daily to your cottage
CANCELLATION POLICY

Registration fees are refundable:

  • 50% refundable up to 3 months (before January 16, 2025)
  • 25% refundable from 3 months – 1 month (between Jan 17 – March 16, 2025)
  • 0% for the last month (after March 16, 2025)

You are welcome to request an exception to this policy.
